Online Group Music Classes
Food, water, and shelter: those are essential for survival. But what about creating connections? Humans are social creatures. We thrive in social environments. If you’re looking to meet new people, start a band, or are thinking of getting your child into music classes, online group music classes are your solution!
Group music classes are great for beginners to advanced musicians. Music students can develop or enhance a variety of skills that will help them succeed in the musical and professional world. We work as a team in school, as families, and throughout our careers. Group work teaches us the value of teamwork. When we work toward a common goal, such as learning a song, we have our specific roles. A soprano versus an alto for instance. Separately, the music produced by their voices is amazing, but together it becomes melodious. To work in harmony, students learn to listen to pitch and tone to match or compliment. Group music lessons also teach music students how to communicate non-verbally. They look to each other and their music teacher for non-verbal cues, or gestures. Group music lessons teach music students how to work together to overcome their challenges. They are able to share their talents while contributing to the group, leading to increased self-confidence. Group music classes also reduce performance anxiety. It can be daunting to step onto a stage and perform in front of an audience. But in a group, students are able to stand united and deliver moving pieces of music.
Our music school offers group music classes online via Zoom, FaceTime, or Skype. These music classes are available in two different lesson formats: curriculum based or open format. Our curriculum based offers a traditional approach to a learning environment with a quality music teacher following a successful music lesson plan. Our open format music classes mimic the same approach but allow for one-on-one between our experienced music teachers and the students upon completion of the lesson plan.
